공과대학으로 분류되어 있는 성균관대학 건축학과는 타 학과와 사뭇 다른 분위기와 목표를 지닌다. 하지만 그 건축학과의 테라스는 다른 학과들의 공간과 비슷한 수직 수평의 구성으로 조직되어 있다. 과연 수직 수평의 공학관 한 구석에 자유로운 형태의 매스가 존재한다면 어떨까? 건축학과의 성격을 건축의 언어로 드러낼 수 있는 이 테라스는 나아가 성균관 건축학도들의 자긍심이 될 수 있을 것이다.
The Department of Architecture at Sungkyunkwan University, which is classified as an engineering college, has a very different atmosphere and goals from other departments. However, the terrace of the architecture department is organized in a vertical and horizontal composition similar to the spaces of other departments. What if there was a free-form mass in one corner of the vertical and horizontal engineering museum? This terrace, where the characteristics of the architecture department can be revealed in the language of architecture, can further become a pride of Sungkyunkwan architecture students.
Concept
기계적인 사고를 요하는 타학문들을 위한 공간과 달리 유연한 사고를 요하는 건축학과의 공간은 슬라브와 천장이 유연하게 파도친다.
Unlike spaces for other studies that require mechanical thinking, spaces in architecture departments that require flexible thinking have flexible surf slabs and ceilings.
Site
1) 2023년 기준 나무가 5층 레벨의 높이를 넘어 자라있다 -> 5층은 나무와 관계 짓고 6층은 바깥 풍경과 관계 지어야한다.
2) 테라스 기준 북동쪽에는 높은 아파트 단지와 높은 건물이 있으며 북서 쪽에는 산의 능선이 보인다.
1) As of 2023, the tree grows beyond the height of the 5th floor level -> The 5th floor should be related to the tree and the 6th floor should be related to the outside landscape.
2) There are tall apartment complexes and tall buildings on the northeast side of the terrace, and mountain ridges can be seen on the northwest side.
